Renting a truck for moving, once in front of the truck, engine problem, the truck could not drive. More than 3/4 of an hour to get assistance for them to tell me that there was no solution, that they were sorry for me.

DISASTROPHIC, SCAM! These people are simply thieves with thug practices. I rented a 17m3 truck, to my great surprise it had several warning lights such as oil and AD blue in signaling when I took control. First bad surprise. Subsequently, and during the inventory of the vehicle in the evening, I took several night photos of the vehicle. I subsequently returned it, without any hitch, in perfect condition. City-Drop sent me an email several days later informing me of a bill of €532 for damage to the vehicle. When I ask for explanations, I am sent inventory photos for comparison which are absolutely not my initial photos. They are not dated, which means that these photos could be those of anyone, and of any truck. I am simply being made to pay for damage that does not exist. Not having reached the end of my surprises, they took my entire deposit, namely €2,500. I have initiated legal proceedings against them in the face of what appears to be racketeering. To be avoided at all costs.

Regarding the AdBlue light, this is a standard alert indicating that it is necessary to add some, which is mentioned in our terms of use. The oil light, for its part, may be linked to scheduled maintenance for the vehicle. The service was ok only because the cost is significantly lower than the competition, however we had issues both at the time of picking up and returning the car: 1) At the time of picking up, the parking access door would not open using the link provided in the email. It took me 10 minutes to open the door after several attempts. Once I accessed the parking lot and opened the vehicle, I could not drive away because the windshield was covered in ice (it was a very cold morning) and the car was not equipped with any scraper or tool to scrape the ice. It took me 15 minutes to do it improvising with what I had. 2) At the time of returning the car, the app had problems twice after going through all the steps and taking all the pictures. I had to call the call center, get instructions to fix the app issue, and take the pictures a third time to then just be able to lock the vehicle.

City Drop? A real scam in disguise. At first, you think you're getting a good deal with a cheaper rental, but their business model seems to be mainly based on customer deposits. They blamed me for a claim for which I was absolutely not responsible, and it's impossible to win the case. They make money by exploiting users rather than providing a real reliable service. Also, be careful, they provide vehicles in a deplorable state: lack of Adblue, incredible dirt... Avoid if you want to avoid unpleasant surprises.

My experience with City-Drop was disastrous, I strongly advise against anyone using their "services". I rented a utility vehicle to move in early January 2025. Firstly, I returned the vehicle with the same fuel level as I found it, but they still charged me €30 for fuel a few days after returning it. Secondly (this is where I understood that their business model is clearly based on the fees they charge following the return of the vehicle), 8 days after returning the vehicle, they came back to me claiming that it had been damaged (in this case, a molding above the wheel was missing). However, when I returned the vehicle, this part was not missing. In the 8 days that had passed, anyone could have dropped it (if what they say is true). They charged me (hold on to your hats) €300 for the purchase and repair of the part and the immobilization of the vehicle, which is clearly excessive when you look at the price of these parts on the internet. In short, I advise you not to go through City-Drop!

Never booked with them, we booked a truck for a move, the truck has scratches and dents everywhere, when we returned it we were told that it was damaged at the rear door, we were charged 560 euros when there is absolutely nothing in the photo, we were told that if we want to contest it we will have to have an assessment done ourselves at our expense but that in any case we will have to pay for the immobilization of the truck 100 euros/day whatever we do we are trapped, moreover it would not surprise me if no repairs were ever made even if there was real damage because the condition of the truck does not give this impression, real scam well done to you

I do not recommend this site. They have just sent us an invoice for a claim that we did not have, without any explanation or contact. The "claims" department does not have a telephone number!!
